The Room with the View

The room with the best view is our home gym. I told Jeremy, he now has no excuse not to work out.

We are making progress!

Despite the weather, we are making progress! With the roof sheeted, we were still able to get the mechanical guys and the plumbers to work some in the rain.  The roof will be weather proof as soon as the weather permits. The house is really taking shape and the interior touches are so much fun to see. We are loving the floor plan already, but we are a little scared about the utility bill. Ouch! We are having lots of fun watching it all come together.

Friends Condemn Building Project

Friends of ours, Brad and Tori Wible, go to check out the house and take a few pictures. We got some great photos of the house, but we also got some surprise photos. What we love most of all is the blue "Disney on Ice" hard hat worn by Brad. It made for a good laugh!!!!

With the rain clouds lurking above, they began to sheet the roof. We are moving forward. Jeremy is working hard to beet the weather. With a framing crew on our home and another framing crew on my parents next door, the hammers are pounding. The rest of the family is moving dirt and building walls as they prepare for their foundation work and wait on their building permits. By the sound of all the equipment, you would think we were taking over the street.  Well we kind of are.

Watch out the Massies are a comin!

Well as you can see, we are well on our way. It is crazy to see, that which we have only seen on paper, become a reality. We are actually building a house!!!! With the framing about complete we are hoping to have the roof on before the weather  hits too hard. This is a picture from the side of the house. The lot you see next door with all the lumber is my parents lot. They have begun the framing process as well.

The girls are so excited about their new rooms and love to give tours. They are anxious (as well as mom and dad) to move. Seeing the actual house structure go up has brought some clarity to their little minds as to why we sold our house and why we are living in a rental. I think they finally get it.
